Bakewell and Last New Product of the Week

Evening all,

Phew, busy week. How's yours been?

Tomorrow (Saturday 22nd February) I have my next Craft Fair of the year at Bakewell Town Hall, Derbyshire which is open from 10am - 4.30pm. I have been busy making things and now the car is loaded, my sandwiches are made and I'm just off to titivate! Too much information? I think so.

The fair at Bakewell is always a lovely one and Dawn from Craftswise, who is the fabulous organiser, gets lots of people through the door, so I am going with high expectations. The other stall holders are lovely too and I am looking forward to catching up.

If you fancy some quality hand made products, and you would like a day out in the beautiful Peak District, please come along. There promises to be some great stalls so bring some cash! Events in our calendar coming up include Mother's Day and Easter...

Speaking of Mother's Day I am currently working on some gift sets for the wonderful Mum's in our worlds and have just finished making these:

They are Roll-up Reversible Shopping Bags with Matching Coin Purses.

I made some roll up bags a while ago and once they sold, I didn't make any more as I ran out of the material, but when I saw my plan a few days ago I thought I would make some in some fresh, Spring like materials. These bags roll up quite small and are anchored with an elastic, so they can be thrown into a larger handbag, along with the matching purse, ready to go shopping! The inside (or outside!) is in a beautiful complimentary floral and bow material, the inside of the purse matches, there is a button each side of the bag for the loop to catch onto during use, the straps are 25 inches long, they can be turned for displaying either pattern of material when in use and each set comes with a little instruction card of how to roll it up. Nice :)

The purse and it's complimentary interior

The beautiful interior or exterior!

Strong yet lightweight straps

Beautiful cotton materials

Button details for closures and elastic for roll-up

I have decided not to put them in my Etsy Store until after tomorrow's fair, so that I have the chance to sell them there. If they don't, check my store soon and you'll see them there!

The 'How To' of rolling up!

Wrapped and ready to go...

Well that's all for now, have a great weekend and thanks for reading.

Is It Lunch Time Yet?

Hello all,

Do you ever get the feeling you just neeeeeeed to make something? Well obviously I do because this is my business, but I mean for yourself? I did the other day and ended up making these:

Lunch Bags. :)

In really pretty, yet strong materials.

Whenever I go to a fair (for example), I usually shove all my food into a plastic box which goes into a canvas bag of somesort and it ends up falling all over the place and getting squashed and blah de blah, so I wanted to make one of these to keep my lunch safe and secure. This lunch bag is big enough to get lots in, yet not too big that you end up filling it with sugary treats! Don't get me wrong - you need your energy at fairs, but you know what I mean...

The floral exterior and the red rim have been interfaced to enhance the strength and durability of the bag, the base is flat so it stands easily, the drawstring cover is large to come up high above the rim of the bag to give lots of room and make access easy, the handles are also interfaced for strength and to help them stand up, the interior is wipeable green and spotty laminated cotton (great for any spills) and the whole bag just looks so pretty that anyone would be proud to walk down the street with it. I love them! So I made one for me. And one for you...

Of course, it doesn't shout 'Lunch Bag' so you could use this bag for whatever you like.

Please go to my Etsy store now to purchase one, they are only £14.99. Hand made dude! :)

Thank you for reading, please pass this on, follow me on Twitter, Like me on Facebook, leave me a comment or show me some love in some other way.

See you soon,

New Items News

Afternoon all,

So here is a little look at some of the things I have been making recently:

So the top line shows my Ladies Card Holders, which nicely compliment quite a few of my other items. These will hold 8 cards easily and have an elastic loop to keep secure. The measurements took quite a bit of getting right! For some reason, I started really big and the cards slid out! Not good. Third time lucky, I made the right size which was very pleasing. They can be held beautifully in a hand bag along side a nice small purse, so no need to have a great big bulky purse that seems to weigh a tonne.

The second row shows my latest Kindle Fire HD Cases, they are in a really pretty olive green, grey and black print (that the photo's don't show too well) and have elastics to hold it in. They each have quirky little buttons too - different for each case.

And finally the third row shows my latest Lip Salve Holder Key Rings. The ones I made originally were fab, but they didn't turn out as well as I wished and so I didn't remake once all were sold. However, I felt the challenge to devise a better plan yesterday and got to work on these. Thank goodness for cardboard and scrap material I say! These turned out better and although they took me alllllll day today to make, they are lovely. (If I do say so myself!)

So, please check my Etsy Store soon for listings and make a purchase if you like. There you will see more pictures and find further details.

Please pass it on!

Thanks for reading,
